Opportunity Overview

As a Junior Power BI Developer, you’ll take your first professional steps in analytics and data visualization, working on real projects for international clients from day one. You’ll be supported by experienced BI developers and data engineers, gradually building your skills across semantic modeling, DAX, and cloud-connected reporting in a modern Azure-first environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for global clients across diverse industries, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Learn and apply DAX measures and data-modeling concepts: star schema, relationships, and cardinality, in real project contexts.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and senior BI Developers to understand data structures and upstream pipelines.
  • Support business stakeholders in gathering requirements and translating them into clear visualizations.
  • Maintain data quality and consistency across reports, with attention to lineage, documentation, and best practices.
  • Contribute to BI standards and reusable component libraries as your technical scope grows.
  • Get hands-on with CI/CD practices and version control for Power BI assets.
  • Continuously develop skills and stay up to date with the Power BI and Azure ecosystem.

What We’re Looking For

  • First commercial or project experience with Power BI; internship, freelance, academic, or personal projects all count.
  • Basic understanding of DAX and willingness to develop proficiency quickly.
  • Foundational knowledge of data-modeling concepts: star schema, relationships, and basic SQL.
  • Eagerness to learn how Power BI connects to cloud data sources such as Azure Synapse, SQL databases, or Databricks.
  • Proactive, curious mindset; asks questions, takes initiative, and is not afraid to try things.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in an international, remote-first environment.
  • English at B2 level or above; this is the daily working language.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to the Azure data ecosystem: Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and ADLS.
  • Familiarity with Power BI Service: workspaces, row-level security, and dataflows.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or SQL for data preparation.
  • Experience with version control (Git) or CI/CD concepts.
  • Interest in data engineering concepts and Lakehouse architecture.
