IT Infrastructure Specialist - Storage

We are seeking a Senior NetApp Storage Engineer to support a strategic storage platform replacement initiative. The role focuses on deployment and integration of the new solution, data migration, technical documentation, and ensuring a secure, resilient, and operationally efficient storage environment.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle and support teams managing unstructured data discovery, cleanup, and migration efforts.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and configuration of the new storage platform
• Assist with solution design and technical documentation
• Plan and execute file-storage migration activities
• Provide technical guidance during data inventory and cleanup initiatives
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to ensure successful delivery of the solution

Must-have knowledge and experience

• 5+ years of senior experience managing NetApp file storage solutions
• Proficiency in NetApp file storage, including CIFS and NFS, in a MetroCluster setup
• Basic Active Directory knowledge
• Distributed File System (DFS) knowledge
• Understanding of file-share security, access rights, and protection against cyber threats
• Understanding of file-share backup through the NetBackup DNAS protocol
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and solution architecture
• Understanding of data center networking
• Disaster recovery scenario experience
• File-storage migration experience
• Proficient experience with MS Office 365
