Technical Services Engineer Expert Vmware/Nutanix

What’s the role about?

• Independently configure and maintain vCenter and ESXi.
• Recommend and implement VMware version control with Account team approval.
• Perform advanced network configuration on ESXi hosts in line with network support guidelines.
• Manage vCenter servers and service accounts for vCenter and ESXi.
• Document and resolve hardware fault incidents on ESXi hosts.
• Create and manage snapshots efficiently.
• Plan and execute hardware and firmware updates.
• Deploy and configure virtual appliances.
• Administer the virtual computing environment, including VMware vSphere, vSAN, Aria Operations, and Aria Operations for Logs.
• Administer monitoring solutions for virtual environments.
• Troubleshoot, tune, optimize, and perform capacity planning for virtual environments.
• Recommend and implement best practices and security standards.
• Create and update technical documentation and operating procedures.
• Cooperate with other IT teams and coordinate with third-line support.
• Participate in coordination and project meetings.

Who are we looking for?

• Deep, practical expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere technologies, including vCenter and ESXi.
• Experience administering VMware vSAN, Aria Operations (formerly vRealize Operations), and Aria Operations for Logs (formerly vRealize Log Insight).
• Advanced knowledge of computer networking in a virtualization context, such as vDS and NSX.
• Experience in capacity planning and optimizing VMware environments.
• Ability to independently resolve complex problems.
• Excellent technical documentation and procedure creation skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.

Nice to have

• Professional or expert-level VMware and Nutanix certifications, such as VCP, VCAP, or VCDX.
• Experience with automation, such as PowerCLI and scripting.
• Knowledge of other cloud and virtualization technologies.
