Senior Data Engineer

We are building a new mobile game with the ambition of reaching hundreds of millions of users and processing billions of events every day. We are now looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to build our data infrastructure from the ground up to match these ambitions. You will work on the core data platform that powers decision-making across product, LiveOps and marketing. As a founding engineer on the data team, you will contribute to key architectural decisions, help shape our technical standards in line with modern best practices, and build the foundation upon which the team will grow.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign and build our data platform powering product insights, LiveOps, Marketing.Develop and maintain high-quality data pipelines that transform raw gameplay data into clean, structured datasets to be used by analytics, marketing, tech, and AI teams.Collaborate with analysts and game teams to understand data needs and translate them into scalable solutions.Define data quality standards and build automated monitoring, alerting, and validation systems.Develop and maintain services for interacting with partners and 3d party services.Promote best engineering practices: observability, testing, performance optimization, cost awareness, and reliability.What We're Looking For5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a track record of building scalable data platforms and pipelines.Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably AWS (S3, Kinesis, ECS, Athena etc), and modern data stack tools (dbt).Hands-on experience with ETL orchestration (Airflow or similar).Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics best practices — schema design, partitioning, versioning.Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure as code.Proficiency in Python and strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL.Comfortable contributing to architectural discussions and technical decisions.Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and drive them from concept to production.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.What we offer:An exhilarating role in the mobile RPG gaming industry.Flexible employment terms: employment contract or B2B.Work environment of your choice: remote, in-office, or a hybrid model.A competitive benefits package tailored to your needs.A modern office space equipped with everything you need to succeed.
