Requirements

• Proven experience architecting TypeScript monorepos (Nx or Turborepo) at production scale
• Deep experience with Next.js and Node.js service design
• Strong PostgreSQL data modeling experience, ideally with financial or ledger-style data, including transactional integrity, auditability, and state machines
• Hands-on experience designing security and compliance into an architecture, including RBAC/MFA, immutable audit trails, and data residency/segregation
• Working familiarity with SOC 2 Type II and/or the EU Data Act, or comparable regulatory frameworks, and the ability to translate compliance requirements into concrete architectural decisions
• Demonstrated ability to design data isolation/segregation architectures for systems combining sensitive persisted data with AI or third-party processing. This is the most important skill for the role and will be tested directly.

Nice to have

• Prior architecture experience in fintech or another regulated domain, such as healthtech or insurtech
• Cloud-agnostic Infrastructure-as-Code fluency (Terraform or similar) to keep a three-environment setup vendor-neutral
• Experience working alongside a security-focused PM or compliance function from the Discovery phase onward
