The ideal candidate will be able to

  • Take extreme ownership: Own outcomes through to resolution when a feature breaks or a customer is stuck, regardless of where the problem sits in the stack.
  • Navigate real complexity: Untangle large systems and solve high-stakes problems requiring creative thinking and persistence.
  • Be a “whatever it takes” engineer: Step into frontend or infrastructure work when needed, learn quickly, and unblock the team.
  • Treat AI as a teammate: Use AI tools daily to solve difficult problems while maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Drive the team forward: Provide technical leadership, make sound decisions, and address technical debt before it becomes a roadblock.

What skill are we searching for?

  • Real-world experience: At least 5–7 years building software for high-traffic production environments.
  • Backend mastery: High proficiency in Golang; PHP experience is preferred.
  • AI fluency: Experience integrating AI into the development workflow to write better code and debug complex systems.
  • Solid fundamentals: Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns for building at scale.
  • Strong communication: English proficiency at minimum B2 and readiness to collaborate in person at the Kraków or Gdańsk office 2–3 times per week.

Perfect candidate also has

  • The “Figure it Out” gene: Enjoys tackling problems without obvious answers.
  • Full-stack flexibility: Willingness to work with React or JavaScript when needed to deliver a project.
  • Cloud and infrastructure comfort: Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, or Kubernetes and how code operates in production.
  • Payment processing prowess: Experience with payment gateways, ledger systems, transaction routing, or PCI compliance; understanding of secure, reliable money movement.
  • A mentoring mindset: Raises the bar through thoughtful code reviews and knowledge sharing.
