Dynamics 365 Senior CRM/CE Functional Consultant

We are looking for a Senior Dynamics 365 CE Functional Consultant who combines strong functional expertise with a genuine consulting mindset.

In this role, you will work with clients from the early stages of an engagement—helping them understand their business challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement, and shaping how Dynamics 365 can address their needs. You will be involved in both pre-sales and project delivery, helping turn the proposed solution into a successful implementation.

This is a business-facing role for someone who is comfortable asking “why?”, challenging existing processes and requirements, and recommending the right solution rather than simply implementing what the client asks for. You will work closely with clients, sales, solution architects, developers, and delivery teams throughout the engagement lifecycle.

What you will do

• Engage with clients to understand their business processes, challenges, goals, and pain points.
• Lead or participate in discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Challenge existing processes and requirements and identify opportunities for business improvement.
• Advise clients on how Dynamics 365 CE modules and the Microsoft Power Platform can address their business needs.
• Translate business needs into functional solutions and high-level solution approaches.
• Support pre-sales activities, including client meetings, discovery sessions, solution presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and estimations.
• Prepare functional requirements, user stories, process flows, solution documentation, and other project deliverables.
• Work with Solution Architects and technical teams to define the right implementation approach.
• Explain functional and technical trade-offs to both business and technical stakeholders.
• Support the transition from opportunity to delivery and remain involved during the initial stages of implementation.
• Validate that the solution being implemented reflects the business objectives and the solution agreed with the client.
• Support configuration and testing activities and provide guidance to development teams where required.
• Participate in project workshops, UAT, training, and go-live activities when needed.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the Dynamics 365 CE practice, including reusable approaches, accelerators, and best practices.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM as a Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, Solution Consultant, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 CE capabilities and the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating business challenges into technology solutions.
• Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
• Experience participating in or leading discovery and requirements workshops.
• Experience supporting Dynamics 365 pre-sales activities such as solution discussions, demos, proposals, and estimations.
• Ability to think beyond individual requirements and recommend solutions that improve business processes and create business value.
• Experience working as part of a cross-functional team with solution architects, developers, project managers, and other consultants.
• Good understanding of Dynamics 365 implementation concepts, including configuration, customization, integrations, data, security, and environments.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and discuss solution options with technical teams. You do not need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable working with technical stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiple Dynamics 365 CE applications, such as Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, or Customer Insights.
• Experience with Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power BI, or other Power Platform components.
• Experience working with APIs and integrations between Dynamics 365 and external systems.
• Experience with solution architecture or technical design.
• Previous experience taking an opportunity from discovery through solution definition and into project delivery.
• Microsoft certification in Dynamics 365 Functional Consulting, Solution Architecture, Power Platform Solution Architecture, or related areas.
