Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to join a project for a public institution in Germany.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and monitor Microsoft SQL Server environments (installation, configuration, updates)Manage database performance – query, index, and execution plan optimizationConfigure and oversee backup, replication, and disaster recovery mechanismsManage database access permissions and securityMonitor and troubleshoot performance issues and incidentsCollaborate with development teams on database structure designDocument environments and maintenance proceduresRequirementsAt least 3 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server databasesPractical knowledge of HA/DR mechanisms (Always On, replication, clustering)Experience in database performance tuning and optimizationFamiliarity with cloud database services (Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance) is a plusKnowledge of monitoring and automation tools (PowerShell, Azure Monitor) is a plusEnglish proficiency sufficient for working in an international environment (must have)Proven track record of at least 3 completed projects within the last 3 years involving MS SQL Server database developmentExperience with at least 2 completed projects focused on the maintenance and upkeep of MS SQL Server database systemsExperience with at least 1 completed larger-scale project involving the development and/or new build of an MS SQL Server database systemNice to haveGerman language skills — candidates with at least a B1 level can qualify for a higher rateWhats in it for you?Join for a role, stay for the development: More than 40% of our team is working with us longer than 5 years.
