About the project
The Entitlement Management System (EMS) team builds core platform services for user and license management, role-based and policy-based access control, authorization, authentication, and web-based administration tools. Some EMS services handle approximately 3 million transactions per day while maintaining response times around 200 ms. The web UI uses independently deployable micro frontends aligned with microservices principles, and the platform runs cloud-native in AWS.
As a Senior Software Engineer specialising in .NET and frontend frameworks such as Angular/React, you will design and develop new features across the full technology stack, own complex components end-to-end, and translate business requirements into reliable cloud-native solutions running in AWS.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop web applications based on microservice architecture using Angular/React and .NET technologies.
- Own complex components end-to-end: requirements refinement, technical design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Contribute to architecture, framework, database, and service design decisions; propose improvements aligned with platform standards.
- Build and maintain automated tests, quality gates, CI/CD pipelines, and code-review practices.
- Contribute to containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes; support production operations through monitoring and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate in Agile Scrum ceremonies with Product Owners, developers, IT, ML engineers, data analysts, and researchers; mentor mid-level engineers.
What we're looking for
Key qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–7+ years of software development experience, including web-based applications and cloud-native systems.
- Full-stack experience with strong backend expertise in C# .NET Core and REST APIs, plus Angular or React.
- Experience with microservices architecture, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Git workflows, automated testing, SQL schema design, and ORMs such as Entity Framework.
Key soft skills
- Strong collaboration across development, IT, product, data, and research teams.
- Proactive, curious, action-oriented approach to technical and business problems.
- Commitment to engineering excellence, security, maintainability, and documentation.
- Very good spoken and written English (C1 or higher); English is the working language.
Tech you'll work with
C# .NET Core, REST APIs, Angular, React, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, SQL, Entity Framework, CI/CD, Microservices.
What's in it for you
- Engaging projects building robust, scalable, secure cloud-based solutions in AWS.
- Close collaboration with experienced software developers, ML engineers, data analysts, and researchers.
- Influence over technical direction at the service and component level of a flagship product used globally.
- Support for personal growth and career development.
- Equipment provided, medical package, Multisport, life insurance, and a wellbeing program.
Candidate FAQ
What do you look for?
Depth rather than buzzwords: strong .NET and database fundamentals, including async patterns, memory management, and query performance; practical microservices experience, including data consistency across services and service-to-service authentication; genuine full-stack awareness; and proven end-to-end component ownership. Honesty about areas of deep expertise versus limited exposure is valued.
What does the process look like?
Three stages: an introductory recruiter call; an approximately one-hour conversation with the hiring manager covering technical topics and ways of working; and a panel with two team members, including a technical deep-dive and a collaboration-and-culture discussion. The process typically takes about 2–3 weeks, includes no take-home assignments, and provides feedback after every stage. Interviews are conducted in English.
Where would I work?
Gdansk, Poland, in a hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office.
What are the benefits?
- Salary up to 25,000 PLN gross per month.
- Long-term employment contract.
