The Role

We’re hiring a Founding Marketing Lead to help Vega win complex, multi-stakeholder deals and define how we show up in the market. Your job is to make carriers and MGAs aware of who Vega is and have an opinion before a sales rep ever reaches out.

We're running an account-based motion into a market where buyers are risk-averse and decisions take time. You'll partner closely with Sales to generate qualified inbound opportunities and build credibility with buyers.

You will also own Vega’s external presence across every channel and room: content, thought leadership, conferences, events, and commercial narratives that build trust before a demo is scheduled.

This role reports to the CEO and works closely with Sales, Product, and Ops, translating complex ideas into content and programs the market engages with.

What You'll Do

  • Build the marketing function at a fast-scaling AI startup.
  • Own Vega’s external presence through content, thought leadership, press, conferences, and events.
  • Build and scale strategic partnerships with distribution partners, associations, and platforms.
  • Partner with Sales on pitch decks, executive proposals, account-based programs, and inbound generation.
  • Measure campaign performance, optimize initiatives, and reallocate resources based on results.
  • Experiment with AI-driven demand generation, outbound, and buyer engagement strategies.

Who You Are

  • 5–10 years in marketing, ideally in a sales-led, account-based environment handling complex deals.
  • Experience building and owning a marketing function.
  • Background in early-stage, venture-backed startups.
  • Strong analytical mindset and campaign evaluation skills.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, ownership, and building from scratch.
  • Fluent with AI tools for research, drafting, and productivity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Attio (CRM) or Clay.
  • Background in InsurTech, FinTech, vertical AI, or SaaS.

Compensation & Benefits
