Role Overview

OpenX is seeking a Senior Vice President of Global Publisher Development to lead publisher-facing Business Development and Account Management teams. This executive role is responsible for supply strategy, revenue growth, and publisher relationships across all formats.

The role includes collaboration across Buyer Development, DSP, Partnerships, Product, Finance, Legal, and HR, reporting directly to the EVP, Commercial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key publishers.
  • Develop long-term global publisher business strategy, revenue targets, and P&L management.
  • Lead thought leadership initiatives across AI, SPO, CTV, inventory quality, and privacy-first solutions.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and panels.
  • Lead and develop high-performing business development and account management teams.
  • Drive supply growth across CTV, web, in-app, DOOH, and audio publishers.
  • Develop strategic partnerships across retail media, gaming, AI applications, ride-share, and fitness technology.
  • Provide market intelligence to support product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
  • Implement AI workflows and automation to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
  • Support SPO engagements and increase deal share across upfronts, PG’s, and PMP’s.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in programmatic sales and operations within ad tech or publisher organizations.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Track record of exceeding sales quotas and scaling teams.
  • NYC or tri-state area based.
  • Established relationships with premium publishers.
  • Deep technical knowledge of SSPs, DSPs, and publisher ad stacks.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter mindset with strategic leadership abilities.

  • Experience with CTV partnerships.
  • Familiarity with identity and audience targeting solutions.
