We are the people behind InPost Pay - an all-in-one checkout solution that simplifies online shopping by combining payment and delivery in a single, seamless experience. Integrated with the InPost Mobile app, it allows users to complete purchases quickly without creating multiple store accounts or re-entering their details.

We’re on the lookout for an Engineering Manager to oversee our Widget & BasketApp Team – a squad of Backend & Fullstack Engineers, who are responsible for the main backend services to run InPost Pay, as well as owning the widget and basket creation.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop the team – mentor engineers, foster a collaborative and high-performance environment, and support their growth through regular feedback.
  • Own the product – drive planning and execution of the product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership – guide architecture, coding standards, and security practices while promoting engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally – partner with product and stakeholders, align priorities, and ensure clear communication across teams.
  • Ensure quality and performance – maintain high standards for code quality, reliability, scalability, and system performance.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • 6+ years of experience in software development.
  • 2+ years of experience in people leadership.
  • 2+ years of experience in project or delivery management.
  • Very good command of English (B2+) in speech and writing.
  • Strong technical background in Java.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure technologies, especially GCP and AWS, and past experience with cloud migration.
