Each personal care attendant has an extensive training program focusing on quality of care and quality of life.
Our personal care attendants understand that there is more to a client's day than personal care and that a day is only successful when the psychosocial needs of the client are met.
What you'll do
- Provide personal care assistance and companionship to your assigned client
- Promote your client's quality of life through meaningful activity and/or conversation
- Provide light housekeeping and meal prep; transportation as appropriate
- Follow care plans/instructions and communicate all changes and concerns with the Home Care Manager
- Complete an electronic daily shift report
- Comply with Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws and regulations
Who you are
- At least one year of experience working with a Home Care agency
- Experience working with Dementia clients
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet auto insurance requirements
- Ability to occasionally transport clients
- Passion for working with seniors to improve their quality of life
