The Senior People Operations Specialist is a critical individual contributor responsible for helping scale and optimize the infrastructure that supports the employee experience. This role serves as a subject matter expert in benefits administration, leave management, HR systems, people analytics, compliance, and operational excellence.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building, improving, and modernizing People Operations processes in a high-growth environment. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable supporting employees, leveraging data to drive decisions, and identifying opportunities to streamline and automate workflows.
Over the next year, this person will play a key role in helping modernize our People infrastructure through process optimization, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and the implementation of new benefits, tools and technologies.

Where You'll Drive Impact
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution.
- Manage benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and annual open enrollment processes, partnering with brokers, vendors, and HRIS providers.
- Support benefit administration, audits, benchmarking, vendor evaluations, and program enhancements.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers throughout the leave process.
- Partner with third-party leave administrators, HR Business Partners, managers, and payroll to support leave administration and ensure compliance.
HRIS Management & Employee Lifecycle
- Serve as the primary administrator for the company’s HRIS, ensuring employee data is accurate and secure.
- Configure and support system workflows, business processes, security roles, reporting, and integrations.
- Manage employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes and coordinate with payroll, finance, and vendors.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, data governance standards, and system procedures.
- Maintain employee records, including I-9s, licenses, certifications, and required documentation.
People Analytics, Compliance & Reporting
- Develop and maintain People metrics, dashboards, and reporting on headcount, hiring, retention, turnover, engagement, and leave utilization.
- Leverage HR technology, AI, and analytics tools to improve reporting capabilities and support data-driven decision-making.
- Support workforce planning, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
- Support HR compliance activities and regulatory reporting, including EEO-1 reporting, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation, and compensation reporting.
- Assist with employee compliance programs, handbook administration, policy updates, training programs, and compliance communications.
- Maintain compliant employee records and support I-9 administration and documentation reviews.
- Monitor regulatory changes and update policies, processes, reporting, and communications to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage AI and automation.
What You Bring to the Team
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, HRIS management, leave administration, or People Operations.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, retirement administration, and leave management.
- Experience administering FMLA, ADA, COBRA, disability, and state leave programs.
- Experience working within HRIS platforms such as ADP, Rippling, UKG, and/or Paylocity.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
