Position Purpose
An integral member of the Risk Management team supporting the Operations team in managing real estate assets. This position is primarily focused on general liability claims and RMIS system management (60%) and also provides broader risk management support, including generating COIs, working with lenders, obtaining quotes for new assets, processing invoices, reviewing contract language, and supporting departmental needs (40%).
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to enhance and optimize the RMIS system in alignment with industry best practices.
- Manage relationships with TPAs, ensuring communication, SLA adherence, and quality control.
- Oversee evaluation, investigation, and adjudication of complex commercial, general liability, and property claims; guide adjusters and defense attorneys on resolution strategies.
- Assess risk transfer opportunities and draft tender documents when applicable.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly claim data reports.
- Monitor TPA performance, establish metrics, conduct evaluations, implement improvements, and support Operations team training.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, legal requirements, and internal claims handling protocols.
- Promote accurate FNOL, coverage analysis, timely litigation response, and effective communication.
- Collaborate with investments, development, legal, operations, and IT to optimize department performance and provide insights to senior leadership.
Non-Essential Functions
- Support team members and provide coverage during absences.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance and Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7 years in a claims-heavy organization, including 4 years of litigated claims experience, or experience as claims supervisor at a TPA, insurance carrier, or broker.
- Experience with commercial real estate or construction claims, general liability litigation, and property.
- Strong knowledge of claims handling processes, insurance regulations, and best practices.
- Experience managing claims systems (preferably Riskonnect).
- Proficiency in RIMIS software and related tools.
- Advanced Excel and data management skills.
- Professional certifications such as AIC or CPCU are a plus.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, deploy, and support SAP integration solutions using SAP PI/PO and modern API frameworks Enable system-to-system communication, data exchange, and integration across enterprise platforms Participate in feasibility assessments for integration requirements Support large system and subsystem planning activities related to integration architecture Ensure adherence to project schedules and integration standards Develop and maintain technical integration documentation Provide frequent knowledge transfer on best practices and modern, standard API-based integration techniques Support post-release integration issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts Education, Training, and Experience: Minimum 2 years of SAP PI/PO, SAP Integration, and/or relevant system integration development experience Bachelor's degree or certificate in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or another technical field preferred Experience working with the Department of Defense or another federal agency is a plus U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain government clearance Experience with enterprise application development and system integration, including design, development, testing, and deployment Compensation: In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $75,000 – $95,000 annually.
