Allina Health is seeking an outpatient psychiatrist to join the team. In this role, you’ll practice at the forefront of behavioral health integration, delivering psychiatric expertise embedded within a primary care clinic setting. You’ll collaborate directly with medical providers and behavioral health clinicians to improve patient access and outcomes.

Key Position Details

As an outpatient psychiatrist, you will support the growing collaborative care model by providing psychiatric consultation, direct patient evaluation, and treatment within the outpatient clinic setting. You will work closely with primary care providers, psychologists, therapists, and care managers to identify mental health conditions early, guide treatment plans, and reduce barriers to care.

  • Provide adult psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and ongoing follow-up in a primary care clinic setting.
  • Support early identification and management of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other common psychiatric conditions.
  • Participate in the development of care pathways and quality improvement projects in integrated behavioral health.

Schedule

  • M-F schedule, with hybrid remote and on-site at Shakopee Clinic
  • 8 hour day shifts
  • No weekend work
  • No current or expected call rotation

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Residency training program in Psychiatry or foreign equivalency training required.
  • Licensed Physician – MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire.
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 3 – Multisource required upon hire.
  • Board certified in psychiatry within two years of hire.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required.
  • Prescription Monitoring Program registration upon hire required.
  • National Provider Identifier upon hire required.

Pay Range

$340,025 to $351,000 per year. Starting rate depends on experience, education, and union agreement (if applicable).

With advanced matching technology, a supportive provider platform, and opportunities for training and clinical consultation, this role allows psychiatrists to focus on patient care with support for scheduling and administrative tasks. We are looking for contract psychiatrists who are passionate about whole-person, whole-family mental health care and working within a connected network to provide patients with easily accessible, culturally responsive, high-quality mental health care. As a contract psychiatrist, you’ll provide evidence-based treatment via live 60-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-up appointments. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management, with the ability to refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching services alongside your care. You will provide care to individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs and abilities, delivering culturally responsive care that recognizes the impact of cultural background on each person’s care experience.
