Description

As a Senior Development Engineer (Client Implementations), you will lead complex client integrations and ensure accurate, reliable data flow across healthcare and insurance ecosystems. This is a hands-on integration engineering role focused on configuring and supporting Java-based solutions, with deep involvement in data transformation, EDI standards, business rules, and workflow logic. You will leverage AI-assisted development tools and automated testing frameworks to deliver high-quality, production-ready implementations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead key phases of the client integration lifecycle from requirements analysis through post-go-live support
  • Develop and maintain integration logic for X12 EDI, XML, JSON, flat files, and proprietary formats
  • Perform EDI mapping, validation, and compliance checks
  • Implement business rules and workflow logic using Java-based frameworks
  • Apply Shift Left practices with automated testing and continuous quality checks
  • Build and maintain automated test coverage using Playwright or similar tools
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) for debugging and implementation
  • Collaborate with Client Services, QA, and Product teams
  • Support integration environments using DevOps principles (CI/CD, version control, environment management)
  • Troubleshoot complex implementation issues and improve integration patterns and tooling

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software development or healthcare technology
  • 10+ years of object-oriented development experience (Java preferred)
  • Strong SQL skills (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Subversion, or similar tools
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or Contact Manager

Nice to Have

  • Experience with healthcare transaction processing and X12 EDI standards
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, XML, JSON, SOAP, YAML
  • Exposure to Maven, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, and ELK stack
  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as StreamSets, Talend, or Airbyte
  • Experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright
  • Knowledge of HIPAA / PHI / PII compliance
