The Opportunity

Flexport Capital is Flexport's financing arm, offering inventory financing, asset-based lending, term loans, and working capital products to Flexport clients. As Flexport Capital's Portfolio Manager, you will own the full lifecycle of the Capital customer base, driving exposure growth, strategic retention, and collections when necessary while leading a team of Account Managers at scale.

This is a senior commercial leadership role responsible for setting portfolio strategy, building systems and playbooks, and serving as the primary executive relationship owner for the most complex and high-value accounts. You will partner closely with Credit, Product, Legal, and senior leadership to shape business evolution.

You Will

  • Own North American Flexport Capital clients and maintain relationships with C-Suite stakeholders
  • Drive revenue growth, identify at-risk accounts, and conduct quarterly business reviews
  • Increase revenue per customer through credit line increases, utilization improvements, and cross-sell of term loans and asset-based lines
  • Leverage supply chain data including shipment patterns, volume spikes, transit times, and invoice data to drive timely capital solutions
  • Monitor financial health, repayment behavior, and market conditions; flag early warning signals and partner with Credit
  • Build trusted senior-level relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Founders, and CEOs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align on account strategy and bundled freight-capital propositions
  • Contribute insights to product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy

You Should Have

  • 7+ years in commercial finance, fintech lending, specialty finance, or related field; 2+ years managing a team
  • Experience managing complex, multi-product lending portfolios with accountability for revenue and credit health
  • Fluency in working capital structures, covenant compliance, lien priority, UCC filings, collections, and workout mechanics
  • Track record of upsell, cross-sell, and expansion revenue growth
  • Strong executive communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience building systems and playbooks and driving team adoption
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Claude, and data tools for dashboard and reporting design

Compensation

The US base salary range for this position (excluding bonus, equity, and benefits): $120,000—$150,000 USD.
