The Opportunity
Flexport's Global Operations team is responsible for successfully managing customer supply chains end to end. The team works closely with partners and technology teams to drive innovation through process automation and operational excellence.
The Global Operations Associate owns and executes the end-to-end movement of global shipments within a regional network, including Ocean LCL and FCL, Ocean imports, and Air imports and exports. This role focuses on delivering a best-in-class customer experience through quality and on-time performance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure shipments move on time and exceptions are handled appropriately
- Meet internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Own the client experience by resolving issues quickly and ensuring smooth operations
- Coordinate logistics operations with steamship lines, air carriers, customs, warehousing, trucking, and other partners
- Execute freight shipment movements across imports, exports, and intermodal operations
- Assist shipments managed by partners
- Quote and invoice client shipments with P&L responsibility
- Participate in QBR and MBR preparation and client operational calls
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Ability to adapt to new technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork and relationship-building skills
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Fluency in English
