AGE Solutions is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in Cloud-hosted Storage Solutions to support a Department of Defense (DoD) customer.

Responsibilities

  • Provision, operate, install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure with emphasis on cloud computing technologies.
  • Provide technical support, guidance, and hands-on delivery in planning, implementation, and ongoing operations.
  • Participate in technical research and development to enable innovation within the cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure on-premise and cloud systems adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.
  • Document specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans, and results.
  • Monitor and report on data restore and disaster recovery capabilities for on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Coordinate and document Disaster Recovery (DR) failovers within cloud environments.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of critical enterprise applications and systems.
  • Develop, integrate, and oversee storage arrays, fiber switches, and associated components.
  • Maintain data backup solutions for mission objectives across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot advanced storage issues and perform capacity and performance planning.
  • Author and refine policies and procedures supporting the operational storage environment.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Five (5) years of professional engineering experience with enterprise storage and backup technologies.
  • Three (3) years of hands-on experience managing hybrid storage infrastructure (Azure and/or AWS).
  • Two (2) years of hands-on experience with DoD IT systems.
  • Two (2) years of enterprise SAN management experience including Fiber Channel, iSCSI, FCoE, HBA/CNA, RAID, LUN, and NAS.
  • Experience with enterprise backup/restore solutions such as Veritas NetBackup, AWS Backup, or Azure Recovery Services/Site Recovery.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
  • One required certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or NetApp Hybrid Cloud certifications.
  • Secret Clearance with adjudicated IT-I investigation (Tier 5/SSBI); Top Secret preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demand

  • Ability to work in telecommunications closet and office environments.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
