Summary

We are seeking an experienced Alfresco SME / Migration Specialist to support a complex upgrade and migration programme involving Alfresco (v7.4 to v25.2) and transition to SharePoint / Microsoft 365. This role requires a hands-on technical expert who has delivered multiple Alfresco migrations, including large-scale and complex environments, and can proactively identify and resolve migration challenges based on real-world experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the migration approach for Alfresco upgrades and transition to SharePoint.

  • Assess existing Alfresco environments, including:

    • Content models and metadata structures.

    • Customisations, workflows, and integrations.

  • Execute end-to-end migration activities:

    • Data extraction, transformation, and loading.

    • Metadata mapping and validation.

  • Develop and optimise migration tooling, scripts, and automation.

  • Troubleshoot complex migration issues (data integrity, performance, legacy constraints).

  • Support cutover planning, testing, and risk mitigation.

  • Provide technical assurance and expert guidance to delivery teams and stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Alfresco SME / Senior Engineer / Specialist.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Alfresco Content Services (including v7.x).
