Senior Non‑Functional Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Work in SAFe teams

  • Gather and review Non‑Functional Requirements with relevant stakeholders

  • Create release test strategy and test plans based on non‑functional requirements and risk analysis; drive non‑functional testing for releases

  • Create and review performance test cases and test scripts, including peer review

  • Design and execute performance, reliability, and resilience tests

  • Identify performance issues and drive tuning activities with relevant technology experts

  • Perform defect prioritization and drive defect fixing with relevant teams

  • Collaborate with external teams on test planning, execution, and change implementation

  • Create non‑functional test reports and present results to stakeholders

  • Support production monitoring setup by verifying monitoring in lower environments

  • Review and prioritize non‑functional testing activities, track deliverables, and provide status reporting

  • Review existing practices and actively drive improvements

  • Incorporate non‑functional testing activities into CI/CD

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience)

  • 7+ years of experience in testing, including 5+ years in non‑functional testing

  • Strong ability to manage and execute non‑functional testing in complex, large‑scale programs

  • Ability to work independently and within distributed teams

  • Experience in defining and rolling out processes and standards

  • Strong experience in performance testing and engineering using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling or similar

  • Experience working in Agile teams, with knowledge of SAFe methodology

  • Experience with CI/CD practices

  • Experience with Jira (mandatory); knowledge of qTest is an advantage

  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries and analyze AWR reports

  • Experience with tools such as Subversion, Jenkins, Maven, Git

  • Familiarity with web services technologies (XML, SOAP, JSON)

  • Fluent English, spoken and written

  • Open‑minded with the ability to set direction and goals for the team

  • Strong skills in planning, prioritization, and structured delivery, with a focus on quality and timeliness

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels

  • Experience working in complex environments with multiple streams, across business units and with diverse teams and vendors

  • Proactive, self‑driven and solution‑oriented mindset, comfortable working in evolving and changing environments

  • Experience in non‑functional testing and analysis (performance and/or reliability), including troubleshooting and optimization of enterprise solutions

  • Experience working with distributed delivery teams

Nice to have:

  • Experience in development

  • Experience in banking domain, preferably payments

  • Experience working with Linux/Unix and cloud environments

  • Experience with mainframe systems
