Responsibilities: 

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests using Go, applying principles of efficient and idiomatic Go code (including interfaces, goroutines, and channels in the context of testing). 

  • Building and improving test automation frameworks for backend services and APIs. 

  • Writing reliable, clean, and scalable test code aligned with automation best practices. 

  • Developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for distributed systems, understanding their differences and role within the testing pyramid. 

  • Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution—not just integrating but fully maintaining test pipelines. 

  • Running automated tests in local Docker-based environments and managing test dependencies using containerized setups. 

  • Performing root cause analysis of test failures and improving automation stability. 

  • Collaborating with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and overall product quality. 

  • Supporting manual testing when required to ensure full feature coverage. 

  • Documenting automation processes, test architecture, frameworks, and internal tooling. 

Must-haves: 

  • Experience as a QA Automation Engineer, including hands-on experience with Go for 2,5+ years.  

  • Strong understanding of automated testing principles, SDLC, and QA methodologies.  

  • Experience automating tests for APIs, microservices, and backend systems.  

  • Knowledge of Go language, frameworks, and testing libraries (e.g., Testify, GoMock).  

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Dockerized environments.  

  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and tools like Postman or Swagger.  

  • Understanding of version control (Git) and code review processes.  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  

  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
