Responsibilities:
Analyzing and specifying quality requirements for software products and IT services built on them.
Planning tasks, tools, resources, and required skills; estimating costs for quality assurance processes.
Optimizing QA costs and managing quality requirements through the balance of cost of quality, quality needs, and risks (techno-economic justification of quality requirements).
Defining and implementing QA methodologies across all stages of the software lifecycle.
Designing and implementing test automation processes, including selecting tools and frameworks.
Developing and implementing practices for non-functional testing (reliability, scalability, availability, fault tolerance, performance, recoverability, etc.).
Defining requirements and approaches to ensure testability of software products and IT services.
Specifying quality gates for CI/CD processes and selecting and evolving QA-specific tools and frameworks integrated into pipelines.
Leading QA teams, mentoring and training, developing competency matrices and growth paths.
Ensuring alignment of business requirements with testing processes in collaboration with architects and developers.
Analyzing and optimizing testing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
Researching and implementing tools, technologies, and practices to improve QA efficiency, reduce effort, and enhance output quality.
Developing and implementing templates for QA project artifacts and documentation.
Must-haves:
Experience as a QA Architect, Lead QA, or Senior QA for 5+ years.
Experience directly managing a large QA team (20+ people) on long-term projects for 2+ years.
Responsibility for overall product quality, not just testing processes.
Ability to design and implement QA strategy for complex, large-scale systems.
Deep understanding of trade-offs between quality dimensions and the effort required to ensure them across different types of software products and IT services.
Ability to clearly communicate the relationship between business needs, fulfilled/unfulfilled quality requirements, and risks, providing actionable recommendations at a consulting level.
Hands-on experience optimizing QA and development/support processes with a focus on quality across all levels: organizational/process, methodologies/templates, QA skill requirements, automation tools, and efficiency tools aligned with current trends.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (ISTQB, TMap, etc.) and quality management practices.
Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, etc.).
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies; experience working in cross-functional teams.
Understanding of REST API principles, microservices architecture, and integration processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key quality issues and propose optimal solutions.
Experience working with high-load systems.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration into testing processes.
Experience implementing QA efficiency tools, including those leveraging generative AI capabilities.
Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
