THE WORK:
As a Cloud Infrastructure Manager you will deliver premier cloud solutions at the intersection of traditional finance and crypto-native innovation. You will own the platforms that keep Ripple's products highly available, performant, and secure. You will be part of Ripple Treasury and will help scale the cloud foundation behind 40+ years of treasury expertise and trillions in annual payments volume for SMEs through Fortune 500 customers. This role will lead a seasoned team across Azure and AWS, set the direction for our Internal Developer Platform, and raise the bar on reliability, observability, and operational excellence. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead and encourage a team of Infrastructure engineers to continuously deliver availability and reliability of Ripple products.
- Apply strong instincts for Platform Engineering and developing Internal Developer Platforms.
- Build and operate production software at internet scale.
- Collaborate closely with key partners and engage directly with engineering customers to understand their needs and improve their experience.
- Own, craft, and maintain processes and tooling for the infrastructure organization, while incorporating your own tooling and processes.
- Support operations for infrastructure features and services.
- Build in observability for internal infrastructure services and provide related observability frameworks for applications.
- Minimize mean time to resolve incidents by reacting to monitoring alerts and problems reported by employees or customers in a timely manner.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Strong familiarity with Azure and AWS tools and services.
- 10+ years of total experience with 5+ years of management experience in building and leading diverse software infrastructure engineering teams.
- Experience building and operating highly reliable distributed systems in a cloud environment.
- Customer-focused curiosity, passion for technology, pragmatic thinking, and the ability to jump into an ambiguous area and break down complex problems.
- Demonstrated experience improving the reliability and operational automation of complex, multi-tier systems.
- A strong product outlook along with experience delivering large, complex projects in collaboration with a variety of cross-functional partners across technology, operations, and business.
- Experience with monitoring systems and incident management.
- Experience operating software as a service.
- Experience participating in incident response.
- Experience working in FinTech is a bonus.
