Cloud Solutions Architect for an international IT environment (primarily Microsoft Azure)

Description

Design and evolve secure, scalable, standards-based cloud solutions based mainly on Microsoft Azure. Provide cloud architecture leadership, define Infrastructure as Code practices, develop IT cloud architecture and governance standards (including security), and advise teams from solution design to prototyping. Document architecture decisions and communicate them to stakeholders while coordinating cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design software, system, and cloud solution architectures and support deployment and integration with the existing IT environment
• Define and evolve Infrastructure as Code approach for Microsoft Azure environments
• Develop a consistent, efficient, future-ready Cloud IT architecture
• Create standards and policies for cloud architecture, security, and IT governance
• Evaluate new technologies and determine how to use them in the current environment
• Provide advisory support to project and application teams (from concept/solution design to prototype implementations)
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate collaboration across interdisciplinary teams
• Document architectural decisions and communicate them to stakeholders

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure services
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience designing complex IT environments including cloud solutions, enterprise systems, and integrations
• Knowledge of IT governance principles and architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
• Knowledge of DevOps processes, modern deployment models, and cloud operating models
• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical architectural solutions
• Very good communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams, management, and business
