Description

This role performs pharmaceutical procedures for medication preparation and distribution to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy. You will prepare, compound, package, label, and dispense non-sterile medications and nutritional products while following infection control, cleaning protocols, privacy, and applicable regulatory standards. You will also support inventory management, controlled substance-related procedures, and required documentation, providing timely pharmaceutical support aligned to patients’ plan of care.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program OR meet Board of Pharmacy requirements to obtain registration
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician credential (PHRMTECHR, PHARMC, or TCH)
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations (including NABP, The Joint Commission, Title XXII, DHS, DEA, FDA, USP)
• Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical calculations and dosage determination math
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences
