Description

Provide on-site interventional radiology coverage with day shifts (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and evening call. Perform a broad range of interventional radiology procedures in a non-trauma hospital setting, working with clinical staff to deliver safe and efficient procedural care. No academic or telehealth experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site interventional radiology procedural coverage
• Perform scheduled day shifts and evening on-call coverage (no overnight call)
• Perform IR procedures independently across a broad spectrum
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support safe, efficient patient care

Procedures Include

• Arteriograms
• CT-guided and fluoroscopy-guided biopsies
• Thermal ablations
• Embolization procedures
• Kyphoplasty
• Gastrostomy tube placement
• PleurX catheter insertion
• Nephrostomy tube placement
• Port placements
• Tunneled and non-tunneled catheter insertions
• Dialysis graft declots
• Biliary drain placement

Requirements

• Completion of Interventional Radiology fellowship
• Board eligible in Interventional Radiology (must obtain board certification within 5 years)
• Active South Carolina Medical License
• Ability to provide on-site procedural coverage and evening call
• Comfort managing a full spectrum of interventional procedures independently
• Strong clinical judgment and procedural proficiency
