Description

Provide combined inpatient and outpatient psychiatric coverage in Washington with scheduled morning inpatient sessions, follow-on outpatient clinic days when applicable, and occasional call. The assignment includes inpatient shifts, outpatient clinic days, and approximately once per quarter weekend inpatient telepsychiatry (remote for providers in Washington). Court-related clinical responsibilities may require an earlier start.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric coverage approximately 5–7 shifts per month

• Provide outpatient psychiatric care approximately 12–19 days per month

• Manage both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric patients

• Cover scheduled morning inpatient sessions followed by outpatient clinic coverage when applicable

• Participate in occasional night call as needed

• Provide weekend inpatient telepsychiatry coverage approximately once per quarter

• Complete required clinical documentation

• Attend court-related responsibilities when required

• Collaborate with the behavioral health team and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• MD/DO required

• Psychiatry training with appropriate board certification or eligibility

• Experience providing both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care preferred

• Ability to provide telepsychiatry coverage

• Washington-based providers preferred for remote weekend telepsychiatry coverage

• Must be comfortable with occasional call and weekend coverage

Working Hours

• Clinic Days: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

• Inpatient/Outpatient Split Days: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM inpatient; 12:00–1:00 PM lunch; 1:00–5:00 PM outpatient clinic

• Occasional Court Days: start time as early as 7:30 AM

• Weekend Coverage: approximately once per quarter for inpatient telepsychiatry
