Description

Provide inpatient adolescent psychiatric care with weekend rounding and continuous on-call coverage, including Monday/Tuesday on-site work. You will manage admissions during night call, develop individualized treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team, and oversee psychiatric medications for adolescents. Epic charting is required (approx. 6–12 patients per day).

Responsibilities

• Cover 2 weekends per month plus the following Monday/Tuesday

• Weekend rounding (~6 hours starting 8am) followed by on-call until 8am the next day

• Monday/Tuesday on-site coverage 8a–5p followed by night call until 8a

• Place admission orders for patients arriving during night call

• Develop individualized treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team, parents, and guardians

• Manage psychiatric medications and challenging behaviors in adolescents

Requirements

• Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

• OR Board Certified in General Psychiatry with completed CAP fellowship

• California license; California residents only

• CA DEA with Schedule 2/2n

• BLS (AHA)

• Strong foundation in psychiatric principles, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapies

• Experience with children and adolescents; Epic charting experience
