Description

You will design, develop, and maintain the architecture of a production-grade Android application with clear layers, modular components, and an efficient Gradle build. The role includes building native Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and/or Android View, implementing asynchronous work and state management, and adding persistence and security. You will own quality and stability through testing, performance monitoring, crash/ANR resolution, and contribute to CI/CD and web/integration features.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Android application architecture and Gradle build structure

• Build and enhance native Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and/or the Android View system

• Implement asynchronous operations and state management with Coroutines and Flow

• Develop data persistence and security using Room, EncryptedSharedPreferences, and Android Keystore

• Participate in the full SDLC: PRD preparation, technical specs, testing, feature-flag deployments, and event tracking

• Create and maintain automated unit and UI tests using JUnit, Espresso, and Compose Testing

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance using Android Profiler and Perfetto (CPU, memory, UI responsiveness)

• Ensure production stability by resolving crashes and ANRs using Crashlytics and minimizing regression risk

• Develop and improve CI/CD with Gradle and GitHub Actions (or comparable automation)

• Integrate native Android with web experiences: WebView, Custom Tabs, App Links, Deep Linking

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Managers on requirements and Android solutions

• Work with backend teams on API contracts, authentication, and event schemas

• Support production incident resolution and contribute to root cause analysis and post-incident reviews

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional native Android experience with apps released through Google Play

• 4+ years hands-on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and/or Android View

• 3+ years Android testing experience with JUnit, Espresso, and Compose Testing

• Strong Kotlin proficiency (Coroutines, Flow, sealed classes, extension functions)

• Production experience with Jetpack Compose and Android View

• Solid architecture understanding (Clean Architecture, MVVM, and/or MVI) with modular design and separation of concerns

• Hands-on Hilt or Dagger 2 experience (DI, lifecycles, scope management)

• Experience with Room, EncryptedSharedPreferences, and Android Keystore

• Knowledge of Retrofit and OkHttp, including certificate pinning and structured error handling

• Experience improving performance using Android Profiler and Perfetto

• Familiarity with Gradle-based CI/CD pipelines with automated signing and delivery

• Ability to work with Java code (legacy apps, third-party SDK integrations)

• Experience with feature flags and structured event tracking

• Very good English and Polish
