Description

You will own the architecture, development, and operations of an SAP analytics platform built with SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud within SAP Business Data Cloud, and build AI solutions on top. The work is deliberately hands-on: model data, write Python, build RAG pipelines and AI agents, and set standards so analytics and AI scale across an international organization. You will take use cases from proof of concept into production with proper documentation and operational handover.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics platform architecture, development, and operations based on SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud within SAP Business Data Cloud.
• Design and build data models, views, analytic models, replication and federation flows, and task chains; integrate SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and non-SAP sources.
• Develop and maintain SAC models, stories, and analytic applications; ensure performance, usability, and consistent KPI definitions.
• Identify, qualify, and prioritize AI use cases with the business, including feasibility, value, and risk.
• Design and productionize RAG pipelines (ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, re-ranking, grounding, evaluation of answer quality).
• Build, deploy, and maintain AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio and comparable frameworks; integrate into Teams, M365, and core enterprise systems.
• Develop reusable Python components, APIs, and services with version control, testing, code review, and CI/CD practices.
• Establish evaluation, monitoring, logging, and guardrails for measurable, traceable, cost-controlled, and safe AI operations.
• Take use cases from proof of concept into production; ensure documented and proper operations handover.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring, including design and code reviews.
• Maintain the analytics and AI roadmap and collaborate with Data Protection, Information Security, and Legal to meet GDPR and the EU AI Act.
• Build analytics and AI literacy through training, documentation, and communities of practice.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in data and analytics, starting in BI/analytics and moving into AI.
• Hands-on expertise in SAP Datasphere (spaces, Data Builder, views, analytic models, replication and federation flows, task chains) and SAP Analytics Cloud (models, stories, analytic applications, live/import connections, row-level security).
• Working understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud (data products, foundation services) and how it connects SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Databricks.
• Strong data modeling and SQL skills (semantic layer design, performance tuning, data quality).
• Hands-on Python experience for data and AI workloads; Git-based version control and testing.
• Practical RAG pipeline experience and delivery of AI agents into production (orchestration, tool calling, guardrails, observability, evaluation).
• Microsoft Copilot Studio experience: agents, topics, knowledge sources, actions, connectors; Power Platform integration and deployment governance.
• Solid LLM fundamentals: prompt engineering, context management, structured output, model selection, and hallucination mitigation.
• Experience leading a workstream/squad/small team, including technical guidance and quality assurance.
• Awareness of AI and data governance: GDPR, EU AI Act, responsible AI principles.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Certifications in SAP Datasphere/SAP Analytics Cloud and AI (e.g., Microsoft AI-102, Copilot Studio credentials); Power Platform is an advantage.
