Description

Design and advise Microsoft Azure solution architecture for an energy-sector client, with a major focus on Data & AI and Generative AI. Produce architectural concepts, recommendations, and documentation, including business architecture, process mapping, and integration designs. Support prototypes, pilots, and MVPs through to production and deliver knowledge transfer via workshops and consultations.

Responsibilities

• Design Azure-based architectures, including Data & AI and Generative AI solutions

• Provide architectural guidance to business domains and analytical/technical teams

• Develop architectural concepts, opinions, recommendations, and project documentation

• Create architectural models and analyses, including business architecture

• Map and model business processes using BPMN and UML (and related notations)

• Design integrations of cloud and AI solutions with corporate systems, databases, and REST APIs

• Design RAG-based solutions, semantic search, and language model approaches using Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI

• Assess technology feasibility, identify architectural risks, and recommend mitigation actions

• Ensure architecture addresses security, scalability, performance, availability, and cost

• Support prototypes, pilots, and MVPs and their move to production

• Assist with defining the scope/description of the subject of the order

• Run workshops, consultations, and knowledge transfer on Azure architecture and Data & AI

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an IT solutions architect

• 3+ years of commercial experience designing Azure cloud solutions in medium/large projects

• Participation in at least 2 IT projects (advisory or implementation)

• Experience designing and implementing complex IT systems with integrations

• Experience creating architectural models, analyses, and business architecture

• Process modeling notation knowledge: BPMN, BPML, UML

• Microsoft AZ-305 certification (or equivalent)

• Practical knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and other Azure AI services

• Independence, strong organization, and high communication and analytical skills
