Description

You will join a project covering development, architecture, automation, and maintenance of Azure-based environments. The role blends architecture and consulting with hands-on work across platform development, migrations, and support for complex technical incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural consulting for Azure Public Cloud, Azure Stack Hub, and Azure Local (deployment, optimization, and further development)

• Assess business and technical requirements for feasibility, security, compliance, and operational supportability

• Design and maintain solution architecture and the platform development roadmap

• Develop, maintain, and document PowerShell scripts and ARM templates

• Automate provisioning and configuration of IaaS and PaaS components

• Perform code reviews and quality assurance aligned with standards

• Manage source code versioning and deployment processes using Azure DevOps repositories

• Design, evaluate, and implement new Azure platform services and capabilities

• Support implementation of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) on Azure Local

• Create and maintain operational and security concepts for new platform functionalities

• Plan, coordinate, and support changes for new solutions

• Evaluate applications and databases for migration suitability

• Design migration strategies and rollback plans

• Support testing, validation, and production migrations

• Document migration activities, conclusions, and deviations

• Analyze complex incidents using administrative data, logs, monitoring, and diagnostic information

• Provide third-line support for critical platform incidents

• Document root causes, corrective actions, and known limitations

• Support preventive activities to reduce recurring incidents

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including DR configuration, dependencies, and operational procedures

• Hand over solutions to platform owners and operations teams; lead technical knowledge-transfer sessions

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience designing, architecting, implementing, or maintaining hybrid cloud platforms

• Very good knowledge of Azure Stack Hub, Azure Local, and Azure Public Cloud

• Hands-on experience with Azure services: App Service, WebJobs, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL

• Broad experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically PowerShell and ARM Templates

• Experience with Azure DevOps: Repositories, Pipelines, Team Projects

• Very good troubleshooting skills for complex problems and incidents

• Knowledge of information security and compliance

• Experience producing architectural, operational, and security documentation

• German and English proficiency enabling smooth professional communication

• Independence, good organization, structured working style, and teamwork skills
