Description

Own the end-to-end speech data sourcing process for an EU project developing advanced speech processing for embedded systems. You will manage vendors, define recording protocols and acceptance criteria, build audio and metadata pipelines in Python, version datasets, and ensure data quality. The role also requires ensuring compliance with consent/licensing requirements and GDPR for biometric data.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end speech data sourcing process
• Manage vendors (selection, negotiation, delivery oversight)
• Define recording protocols and acceptance criteria
• Manage data acquisition budgets
• Perform quality control of delivered data
• Build and maintain audio and metadata pipelines in Python
• Version datasets
• Ensure compliance with consent/licensing requirements and GDPR for biometric data

Requirements

• Experience working with audio/speech data
• Strong Python skills
• Experience building data pipelines
• Familiarity with dataset versioning tools and practices
• Knowledge of GDPR, particularly for biometric data
• Experience working with external vendors
• Fluent English
