Description

Help prepare cost estimates for in-house purchases and routine conventional projects, and for government bids, proposals, and change orders. Administer Micro and Above-Micro purchase/service contracts (including development, inspections, payment, and reporting) and maintain electronic reports using GFEBS and related procedures. Support planning and engineering design cost estimates and translate knowledge of trades/shop operations into work scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for in-house purchases and service contract cost estimates for routine projects and limited-scope portions of larger projects

• Prepare government cost estimates for IFBs, RFPs, and Change Orders

• Prepare planning and engineering design cost estimates (feasibility, baseline estimates, GDM, FDM)

• Administer Micro and Above-Micro purchase/service contracts (contract development, inspections, payment, reporting)

• Prepare and maintain electronic reports using supply and equipment management procedures, GFEBS, resource management, and Microsoft Excel

• Use knowledge of trades and shop operations (e.g., electrical, carpentry, pipefitting, painting) to support work scheduling

Requirements

• Specialized experience as described for GS-07 or GS-09 applicants

• Background investigation suitability/fitness determination

• One year probationary period unless prior 5 CFR Part 315 requirements are met

• Pre-employment physical and annual physical

• Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE-450)

• U.S. citizenship proof required

• Selective Service pre-employment certification required for eligible male applicants
