Description

We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience building backend microservices and frontend applications. The role requires strong Java (17/21) + Spring Boot, REST API development, React or Angular for the UI, and integration using Kafka messaging. You’ll work in an Agile/Scaled Agile environment and apply secure coding, testing, and observability best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend microservices and REST APIs

• Develop frontend features using React or Angular with JavaScript/TypeScript

• Implement database and data access with PostgreSQL/SQL

• Deliver API and event integrations using Kafka/messaging

• Use Azure-based cloud and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, CI/CD)

• Apply unit/integration testing, secure coding, logging, debugging, and troubleshooting

• Leverage AI code-generation tooling to support engineering output

• Collaborate in Agile/Scaled Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, PI planning) and manage dependencies with cross-functional teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience

• Java 17/21 and Spring Boot experience

• Microservices and REST API experience

• React or Angular plus JavaScript/TypeScript

• PostgreSQL/SQL experience

• API and event integration experience with Kafka/messaging

• Microsoft Azure experience

• Docker and Kubernetes/AKS experience

• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub

• Unit and integration testing experience

• Secure coding plus logging/debugging/troubleshooting experience

• Experience using AI code-generation tooling

• Agile/Scaled Agile delivery experience (sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, PI planning, dependency management, cross-functional POD collaboration)

• Banking experience is preferred
