Description

You will develop and enhance core pre-trade technology for Rates Flow within global Rates Trading. The role combines hands-on Java back-end development with modern React and TypeScript front-end capabilities to deliver scalable solutions and improve platform stability and performance, while also providing technical leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver new features for Rates Flow pre-trade platforms by translating workflows and requirements into solutions

• Develop scalable, real-time microservices using Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, Oracle/SQL, and messaging technologies

• Drive full-stack migration of legacy desktop/web interfaces to modern React and TypeScript frameworks

• Ensure alignment with architecture strategies and lead practices for distributed systems design, testing, CI/CD, code quality, and code reviews

• Provide Level 3 production support, performing root-cause analysis and implementing fixes

• Contribute to modernization of the fixed-income technology stack (build tools, frameworks, containerization, orchestration)

• Mentor junior developers and guide technical delivery across teams

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on Java development experience with modern Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, JUnit, Oracle/SQL/PLSQL, Linux, shell scripting, JMS, and MQ

• Strong front-end experience building high-performance web applications with React and TypeScript (component lifecycles, advanced state management, rendering performance)

• Expertise in distributed-system design and event-driven architectures using messaging systems (e.g., Solace, Kafka, RabbitMQ) and real-time communication patterns

• Experience leading development delivery and engineering excellence via test automation, CI/CD, code reviews, and architectural decision-making

• Ability to work across the full technology stack as required

• Experience with test planning/execution for distributed systems and production deployment practices

• Ability to work in the New York office under the hybrid working model
