Quick Facts

• 5–7 inpatient shifts per month; 12–19 outpatient clinic days per month
• Clinic hours: 8:00 am–5:00 pm; split days may include 8:00 am–noon inpatient and 1:00 pm–5:00 pm clinic
• Occasional night call; weekend call about once per quarter
• 12–14 patients per day
• Adult psychiatry patients for both inpatient and outpatient
• Weekend inpatient call for tele can be done remotely if residing in-state
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Vacancy coverage with potential to extend through permanent hire start

Description

Locum assignments can range from short-term (as brief as a day) to longer durations. This position supports a mix of inpatient and outpatient adult psychiatry care with a defined weekly/monthly schedule and call coverage. The assignment is designed to potentially extend, including a path to permanent hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide adult psychiatry coverage for both inpatient and outpatient settings
• See approximately 12–14 patients per day
• Work the clinic and inpatient schedule including split days
• Participate in call coverage (night call occasionally; weekend call about once per quarter)
• Handle weekend inpatient tele call remotely if residing in-state

Requirements

• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
