Description

Build scalable, resilient web scrapers and back-end scraping/parsing solutions, improving reliability, observability, and the ability to access sites for scraping. Maintain and extend the current system while developing new features related to scraping and parsing. Work on large-scale scraping systems serving thousands of requests per second with a high success rate.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable scrapers.

• Define resilient scraping strategies, unblock websites for scraping, and improve observability.

• Develop back-end solutions for scraping and parsing problems.

• Maintain the current system and build new scraping/parsing features.

Requirements

• Experience working with Python.

• Understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, computability, and complexity.

• Version control skills using Git.

• Knowledge of how to unblock websites for scraping.

• Ability to use different scraping techniques and open-source tools to build scrapers.

• Comfortable using DevTools.

• Network (TLS/SSL) knowledge.

• Experience with browser automations.

• Familiarity with asynchronous programming.
