Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions in an Azure Data Platform ecosystem, including Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lakehouse components. The work includes implementing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, building data processing solutions using Python, SQL, and Apache Spark, and supporting platform migration/modernization (including Unity Catalog and updates). You will help ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and security while collaborating with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions on Azure Data Platform (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Data Lakehouse)

• Implement and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for extracting, transforming, and delivering data across business domains

• Develop data processing solutions in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark

• Support migration and modernization, including Unity Catalog rollout and platform updates

• Build and maintain Databricks workflows, Delta Live Tables (DLT), metadata-driven frameworks, and orchestration processes

• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

• Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and security

• Analyze production incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions

• Participate in CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational best practices

• Optimize data pipelines, storage structures, and processing workloads for performance and cost

• Contribute to solution and architecture reviews, promoting engineering standards and governance practices

• Share knowledge, provide mentoring, and support the team’s technical growth

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT processes

• Experience with Delta Live Tables (DLT)

• Experience with Unity Catalog

• Strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Independence with high ownership and accountability

• Proactive approach to identifying risks, blockers, and improvement opportunities

• Very good communication skills and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders

• Data governance, security, and compliance knowledge
