• Role: Azure Data Engineer (B2B contract)

Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Azure-based data processing solutions for structured and unstructured data. Responsibilities include building scalable pipelines integrating databases, APIs, and streaming platforms, and developing ETL/ELT processes with Azure Data Factory and Databricks. You will also apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices for data processing workflows and help integrate the data platform with analytics tools such as Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions for data processing, transformation, and cleansing (structured and unstructured)

• Create and maintain data pipelines integrating data from databases, APIs, and streaming processing platforms

• Develop ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory and Databricks

• Collaborate with data engineers, Data Science specialists, and cloud architects

• Work with business analysts, source-system experts, data architects, engineers, and Product Owners across key project stages

• Implement CI/CD and DevOps best practices in data processing

• Integrate the data platform with analytics tools such as Power BI

Requirements

• Practical experience with Data Lake architecture-based solutions

• Experience in data processing and data flow using Databricks and Azure Data Factory

• Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions in Azure

• Proficient SQL and PySpark

• Ability to model data and design ETL/ELT processes

• Programming experience in Python (or similar scripting language) for transformations, orchestration, and automation

• Hands-on knowledge of advanced Databricks features: Unity Catalog, MLflow, Jobs, Pipelines

• Understanding of cloud data architecture, especially Data Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, API integration, and event-driven architecture

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps, including Git and Azure DevOps

• Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams

• English level at least B2
