Description

Design end-to-end AI/ML architectures that deliver production-ready solutions. Lead architecture decisions across model and technology selection, integrations, and scalable deployment for a Visual Similarity Search system using computer vision and vector search.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI/ML architecture

• Design computer vision and vector search pipelines

• Select models/technologies; optimize costs (build vs. buy); integrate with backend systems and RELEX

• Define API contracts and quality thresholds

• Provide architectural oversight for the AI/ML Engineer

• Design monitoring, model versioning, and rollback strategies

• Analyze open-source licenses

• Collaborate with AI Security for security and compliance (GDPR, EU AI Act)

• Document architecture and mentor the team

Requirements

• 5+ years of software architecture experience, including 2–3 years in AI/ML

• Production experience designing Computer Vision solutions

• Knowledge of ML pipeline architectures, embedding models, object detection, and vector search

• Public cloud experience, preferably AWS

• MLOps experience for deployment, monitoring, and model versioning

• Ability to make architecture decisions considering performance, cost, scalability, and licensing

• Experience leading technical teams or mentoring engineers
