Description

You will support a migration program moving existing applications from an on-premises data center to Microsoft Azure. The main goal is to migrate web applications running on IIS/Windows Server to Azure using an Azure Landing Zone, with security and regulatory compliance in mind.

Responsibilities

• Analyze on-premise applications, dependencies, and operational requirements

• Design the target Azure architecture (IaaS/PaaS) and select migration strategy

• Migrate web applications from IIS to Azure VM, Azure App Service, or containers

• Create and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and/or Bicep

• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

• Configure landing zone networking (connectivity, private endpoints, DNS, firewall rules)

• Integrate applications with Entra ID, Managed Identity, and Azure Key Vault

• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights

• Plan and execute production cutover, including rollback plans

• Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and handover to operations

• Collaborate with developers, application vendors, IT Security, and operations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering

• Advanced Azure knowledge (compute, networking, storage, identity)

• Practical on-premises to Azure application migration experience

• Advanced Windows Server and IIS knowledge (configuration, app pools, certificates, authentication, troubleshooting)

• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Bicep

• CI/CD pipeline experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

• Advanced PowerShell and scripting experience

• Networking principles knowledge (VNet, hub-spoke, NSG, DNS, VPN, ExpressRoute)

• Experience with Entra ID, Active Directory, and identity management

• Ability to independently design and implement technical solutions
