C#/.NET Backend Developer

Description

The team develops and maintains custom healthcare software, and this role focuses on expanding and modernizing the C#/.NET portion of the platform. You will build backend services and REST APIs, integrate them with the existing Python/FastAPI, SQL Server, and AWS-based systems, and improve reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of existing C#/.NET applications and develop new backend services, APIs, and integrations
• Maintain and modernize applications while preserving compatibility with existing workflows
• Integrate C# services with Python (FastAPI), SQL Server, and the AWS-based platform
• Build and support containerized, event-driven services using Docker and AWS
• Investigate production issues using debugging, monitoring, and log analysis
• Write automated tests to improve reliability, security, and performance
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous technical improvements
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to translate requirements into maintainable software

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of C# and .NET
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based applications
• Familiarity with Python
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

• Healthcare or other regulated-industry experience
• Familiarity with medical imaging
