Description

You will develop and modernize integration components and microservices around Nordea’s Safekeeping and Corporate Actions systems, connecting them decoupled with other bank IT landscapes. The role combines hands-on Java development with technical leadership: setting coding standards, guiding the team, driving architecture decisions, and ensuring reliability through monitoring and production issue resolution. You will also translate business requirements into technical specifications and represent technical competence in cross-functional settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance integration component logic between the Safekeeping system and other systems
• Maintain strategic backlog for technical improvements and architectural enhancements
• Establish coding standards and own overall technical quality
• Mentor team members and run code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Lead technical architecture decisions with solution and enterprise architects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business needs into technical specifications
• Drive technical estimates in Scrum ceremonies, identify risks, and propose solutions
• Ensure system reliability via monitoring, production troubleshooting, and incident response

Requirements

• Fluent in Java, SQL, and English
• At least 12 years’ software development experience in large-scale enterprises
• Demonstrated progression to technical leadership
