Description

Designs ERP solution architecture, including how ERP systems integrate with other business applications and how requirements are met across the functional and non-functional spectrum. Defines and documents integration contracts (API contracts, interface specifications), data flows, and integration standards such as API design/versioning, backward compatibility, security, error handling, and monitoring. Supports ERP implementation and transformation projects, with a focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and supervises the integration architecture implementation.

Responsibilities

• Architect ERP solutions with consideration for connected business systems and functional/non-functional requirements

• Design and oversee the integration architecture between ERP and other business-supporting applications

• Design, align, document, and govern integration contracts (API contracts, interface specifications), including data structures, message schemas, data exchange rules, validation rules, and error handling

• Design data flow and communication mechanisms using synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns

• Define integration standards, including API design and versioning, backward compatibility, error handling, security, and integration monitoring

• Collaborate with development, analysis, and architecture teams as well as external vendors on design, implementation, and evolution

• Provide architectural oversight to ensure implementations comply with target architecture and agreed contracts

• Work with enterprise architecture to develop and maintain application and integration architecture

• Participate in ERP implementation and transformation projects nationally and internationally (in particular Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)

• Support product teams with architecture decisions and resolution of complex technical issues

• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and maintainability requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing IT solution architecture, especially for ERP and business applications

• Practical experience designing and implementing integrations between ERP and other business systems

• Hands-on ability to independently design and document integration contracts (API contracts, interface specifications), including data structures, message schemas, validation rules, error handling, and communication rules

• Good knowledge of integration standards/technologies: REST API, SOAP, JSON, XML

• Knowledge of integration patterns: synchronous/asynchronous communication, event-driven architecture, and message queues

• Knowledge of data mapping and transformation, data consistency, and integration security

• Practical experience designing solutions that address non-functional requirements (performance, availability, scalability, maintainability)

• Experience modeling system and business process architecture using ArchiMate and/or UML

• Good knowledge of application architecture

• English proficiency: at least B2

• Independence, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication with stakeholders of different technical levels
