Description

Design, develop, configure, and support Advent Geneva solutions for investment accounting, portfolio management, and fund operations. Build and maintain Geneva workflows, accounting/business rules, security master and reference data, and integrations across the trade lifecycle and reporting ecosystem. Troubleshoot production issues and optimize SQL-based processing to ensure accurate investment accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Geneva workflows, business rules, accounting rules, and operational processes

• Implement investment accounting and transaction processing across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and private assets

• Maintain security master, portfolio, entity, book, accounting basis, and reference data

• Build and maintain integrations with OMS, data warehouses, custodians, market data providers, and reporting platforms

• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, data extracts, and reconciliation processes

• Investigate and resolve production issues, data discrepancies, accounting breaks, and trade-processing exceptions

• Support end-to-end trade lifecycle processing (trade capture, settlement, corporate actions, cash, income, and position/accounting updates)

• Automate data validation, reconciliation, exception management, and operational controls

• Participate in Geneva enhancements, releases, upgrades, and platform integrations, including impact analysis and regression testing

• Create and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, process documentation, and operational runbooks

• Support UAT, system integration testing, production deployments, and post-release validation; monitor processes and proactively identify issues

• Participate in on-call/production support when required

• Contribute to modernization initiatives such as Geneva-to-cloud/data-platform integrations and API-based services

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting investment or asset management platforms

• Expert knowledge of Advent Geneva/SS&C Geneva, including workflows, accounting rules, and security master configuration

• Strong Asset Management and Investment Management domain knowledge

• Understanding of investment accounting and portfolio management concepts (NAV, valuation, positions, cash, cost basis, realized/unrealized P&L, accruals, income)

• Knowledge of trade lifecycle and post-trade processing (trade settlement, corporate actions, multi-currency accounting)

• Familiarity with security master and reference data, investment entities and funds, and general ledger integration

• Proficiency in SQL/T-SQL, including stored procedures, data extracts, and performance tuning

• ETL/ELT, data integration, APIs, and integrations with custodians, brokers, and market data providers

• Competency in Python (or other scripting languages) for automation and data processing

• Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow for issue tracking and change management

• Ability to support financial reporting, reconciliation, and operational controls across fixed income, equities, and derivatives

• Excellent written and verbal English communication (B2+)
