Description

You will design and deliver data processing and AI solutions for an insurance project, emphasizing intelligent document processing and automation in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The work includes building ETL/ELT pipelines, developing OCR-based extraction, integrating extracted data with downstream systems, and supporting AI/ML initiatives and DataOps best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data processing solutions in Azure

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse

• Develop OCR-based solutions for automated document processing

• Integrate extracted data with enterprise applications and reporting systems

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities

• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to DataOps best practices

• Support the implementation of AI and Machine Learning initiatives

• Contribute to document automation initiatives (e.g., cash register reports, receipts/invoices, surveys) including OCR + text analytics/sentiment and multilingual processing

Requirements

• Strong experience in Data Engineering

• Hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics

• Very good knowledge of Azure Cloud services

• Experience with Azure Data Lake

• Strong SQL skills

• Experience with SQL Server technologies: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS

• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing & business intelligence, and data mining

• Experience with DataOps

• Exposure to Machine Learning projects and modern AI-assisted development practices

• Strong communication skills for an international environment

• Experience with OCR/IDP and/or Azure AI Document Intelligence

• Knowledge of NLP and text analytics

• Experience with multilingual document processing
