Description

Build and maintain robust backend services in an existing application. You’ll write scalable, well-tested Python (FastAPI) code, integrate with PostgreSQL, and implement background jobs with Celery. You’ll also troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and support deployments using Docker, CI/CD, and a basic Kubernetes understanding.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, concise, and scalable Python code with unit testing
• Implement new requirements in an Agile environment following architectural standards
• Diagnose complex backend/production issues using monitoring, telemetry, and logging
• Improve backend reliability through testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Work with Dockerized backend services and participate in CI/CD using GitHub Actions
• Support troubleshooting of deployments using basic Kubernetes, Argo CD, and Helm
• Use networking and infrastructure knowledge to investigate Azure-based backend issues
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python development experience
• Backend service development with Python and FastAPI
• Clean, efficient, testable code for scalable systems
• Relational database integration, primarily PostgreSQL
• Background processing and task queues with Celery
• Complex backend troubleshooting (including Azure environments)
• Collaboration on architecture and code reviews using GitHub
• Performance optimization and testing (e.g., Pytest)
• Knowledge of infrastructure and monitoring tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, ArgoCD)
• Proactive learning and adoption of new backend/cloud technologies
• English B1+
